Player Information:

Emerse Faé is a football player from France and is currently playing for the Cote d'Ivoire national football team and OGC Nice, a Ligue 1 French football club based in Nice, as a central midfielder. He was born on January 24, 1984 in Nantes, France. He started his professional football career in 2003 when he joined the local club which was already in the Ligue 1, Nantes. In the four years he played for the team he earned 131 caps and managed to score 6 goals before signing a three-year, £2.5 million transfer deal for the English Premier League club, Reading in 2007. He debuted in the Premier League for Reading on August 25, 2007 against Bolton Wanderers. On March 2008 he was diagnosed to have been contracted malaria and so he was out of form for many months and was put in reserves. He refused to play a reserve match against Tottenham Hotspur and was fined two weeks of his wage and was also suspended for two weeks. Things seem to end bitterly between him and the club and he decided never to play for the team again.
